Sweeping the Array

One of the disadvantages of the solar system is that on big snow days like today, you have to clean the array of snow so the sun can do its job. I've been using a ratty old broom for this task, but need to invent something like a really long squee-gee. This has happened infrequently enough that its still a novelty and kind of fun, but I imagine if we had several big snow days in a row this would get old quickly.

Hey Jay,

Did you know that they sell squeegee things on extension handles to work for washing outdoor windows? I bought one at Walmart I think...not totally hard to find.
Your dilemma reminds me of what I have upcoming with my solar system. Thanks for the heads up!

PS, the one that I have looks like the squeegee thing that they use at gas stations to wash windshields with an extension handle. Hope this helps!

Great idea, thanks for the lead. We'll look for this next time we go to Salida.
