Jay's Slate Artpiece
Jay has been working on the hearthpad and back wall piece that will surround the new wood-burning stove with painstaking attention to detail and lots of inspiration. He chose a beautiful blue-green slate and many quartz stones and is weaving a cosmic snake figure in the middle, hand-cutting slate to fit curving around the figures. Has he done this before, ever??? No. Has that stopped him??? Nope. And thank goodness for that, because it's absolutely beautiful and will be wonderful to sit in front of and consider, along with a roaring fire.
