Homemade shrine to the Guadalupe, Antonito, CO

We've seen the shiny chapel top of this structure from 285 as we made our way to Taos. Today we turned east over the railroad tracks in Antonito and checked out this amazing home-built chapel dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe. The buildings are seemingly made entirely from recycled aluminum materials--see the hubcap filagree? Finn said it reminded him of something John Preble would have built if he had real estate in New Orleans, rather than Abita. I think this refers to the cathedral-like scale of the deluxe junque.
