Lake Hartenstein near Mt. Yale

We camped at 11,500 feet in a meadow above a beautiful high-mountain lake this weekend. This was the first time I've carried a pack on my back on a strenuous hike, and I did OK! Jay toted the largest load, but we managed the climb in about 2 1/2 hours, one foot in front of the other. Time at the Lake treated us to a full rainbow and a nearly full moonrise. It was a busy trail for the holiday weekend, but there were only 2 other groups camping by the lake that night.
