Morning in Jackson Square

We spent time around Jackson Square this morning. The Cabildo Museum was closed, as was the Presbytere, the Pharmacy Museum, the Marie LaVeau Voodoo Museum, and Voodoo Authentica. There were no street artists, musicians, mimes, or performers out. The carriage rides were still running, cafe du monde was serving beignets, and we were able to go in St. Louis Cathedral. We also made a trip to the Wax Museum on Conti Street. We had lunch at Maspero's and then met Merv Moreheiser. Our time with Merv gets it's own post, though. Here are some pics of the kids enjoying the charms of a changed, but still lovely springtime French Quarter.
