The Veils of West Texas

I saw a dozen amazing photographs today while i was driving, but I couldn't take any of them as it was all about the driving. But they remain in me, part of the energetic imprint of the day's passage from altitude, from the rounding mountains and buttes of New Mexico down onto the panhandle of Texas. West Texas is a veil we pass through between homes and ages and states of mind. I love this drive. It is so necessary to the scale of the journey. I did manage one photo just east of Childress. It wasn't anywhere near the best or most curiously worn-down structure, but it is today's postcard offering from the road!
