Graduation '06

Yesterday we attended our first Charter School graduation. What an amazing community. We celebrated 8th graders moving up to highschool and honored our 3 highschool graduates in a very beautiful, intimate and celebratory ceremony. We followed it with a potluck/barbeque on the golfing green under a canopy tent, and students provided live music. Afterwards the entire group helped with cleanup, took down the tent, returned chairs, and partied it up in town. Adults went to the Silvercrest and Finn's group went to the Crestone Youth Plaza for their own party. Sweet. Here are Josh Meisman, Thomas Milroy, and Ruby Roberts, CCS class of '06.

Lovely. Wow, 3 grads. What a different experience from those many of us who were just another face among the many who graduated! It has such a lively, fun feel to it—all of it. And Finn seems to be so very involved in things. It feels very 'connected,' very much a community, which is something I know I used to crave. Thanks so much for sharing these. Love you!!!

Thanks Alex--hugs to you, you could never be an anonymous face in the crowd! When you finish your dissertation we are going to throw you a very big party, ok?
