Here at the top is Anikke Storm, who heads up the school new-facility committee. Anikke is passionate about green construction and creates beautiful earthen walls and floors in homes throughout the state. She's a master with mud! She's a CCS parent and a member of the Governing Council, and I"m privileged to call her a friend, too. She brought Laura Bartels, below in brown shirt, to the final facility committee meeting of this school year. Laura showed us an inspiring two hour powerpoint of straw bale schools and their process of construction, including community involvement. 20 parents shared the inspiration, and pizza from the new pizza place in town (Caddyshack). It was a great night.
