Woodstove

Here's the woodstove working hard--currently it is 17 degrees outside and 67 in the house.

17 degrees. And I'm complaining when it's slightly below freezing. Though we have had mid-20s temps in the past couple of weeks, which is pretty darn cold. It's hovering around 34 degrees right now, which means that the snow we had will melt, but slowly. We JUST dodged a major ice storm, thank GOD!!!! We had one two years ago that lasted over four days and had us holed up in our house the entire time. We had to slide on our butts just to get to the store for food!

Anyway, this looks warm and cozy. We have a fireplace we use constantly. Helps keep the gas bill down during our very cold winter this year. We will put a wood stove in our new sun room when we convert the garage. Neat shot!

The garage conversion sounds great. I love the pics of your house projects. Very inspiring that they do eventually come to completion!

Re the garage conversion—maybe someday you'll come and see it! When it's done, that his, which I hope is this summer!!
