Technical Difficulties
Kathryn called me this morning and asked me to let everyone know they've been having trouble connecting to the internet from Colleen's house in Abita where they've spent the last 2 nights. Everything is going great, tho. Since the last update on this blog, they toured the devastated areas w/ my Uncle Merv Moreheiser, who is an engineer w/ the Corps of Engineers. He gave them the executive, presidential tour w/ color maps, cross-sections of the city showing the flooded areas, a tour of where the levee broke along the 17th St. Canal, etc. The next day I believe they went to a Louisiana History Museum called the Cabildo.Sorry, I'm not up on all the minutiae of the details. Kathryn will fill you in later, as she's hoping everyone will have internet connectivity by tonight. And for those of you who don't know it already, the students have been chronicalling their adventures on their own blog: crestonecharter.blogspot.com (which is also 2 days behind for the information-hungry).
