Jen and Danush's Wedding
We went to a great wedding that must have brought together half of Crestone. The young couple is quite exceptional and their loving devotion for one another and their shared spiritual path was beautifully evident in all of the ceremony. Jen is the newest teacher at the Charter School, though she has worked there before as an aid. The vow-conductor spoke from Sufi poetry. Members of the Hindu community heralded their entrance by blowing konch shells, a catholic priest recited Shakespeare, and their brothers and sisters serendaded them with the Beatles "When I'm Sixty Four". The reception was incredible, an entire banquet of thoughtfully and lovingly prepared raw foods, homemade Chai, loaves of bread all under a canopied tent during a summer mountain rain. Really lovely.

What an amazing community. And you haven't even been there that long and look how central you have become to it, and it to you. That is so amazing, Kathryn!! So beautiful!!!
