Ziggurat
This is a short, easy hike with great views from the top of the Ziggurat. The Ziggurat is an ancient middle-eastern building form and this one was commissioned by the Queen of Jordan (the country) several years ago here in the Baca Grande. I'm not sure what the Queen's affiliation is with Crestone, but the building is neat. We have admired this structure from our house since we arrived. It was great to finally experience it up close. The yellowy-orange color against the blue sky can't be beat for picture pay-off.
